15 June, 2020
  • The 1000 m3 refill will benefit the municipalities and health centers of the districts of La Brea (Negritos), Lobitos, El Alto and Los Órganos in their care of seriously ill patients with COVID-19.
  • This will be done through the municipalities and health centers themselves, who will fill the bottles at Oxyman’s distribution plant located in Piura.
  • With this third delivery of food, Savia Perú is adding new efforts to support the vulnerable populations of Talara.

Adding new efforts to support Talara in its fight against COVID-19, Savia Perú has once again purchased 1000 m3 of oxygen, which will be distributed among the municipalities and health centers of the districts of La Brea (Negritos), Lobitos, El Alto and Los Órganos. It has also made a new delivery of staple foodstuff to support the vulnerable populations of Talara.

Oxygen refilling will be carried out in coordination with the respective municipalities and health centers. This oxygen will be used to guarantee the care of the most seriously ill patients with COVID-19. This is the second oxygen refill carried out by Savia Perú, bringing the total amount delivered to 2000 m3. The first refill also consisted of 1000 m3 and was delivered to the ESSALUD hospital in Talara. It is important to note that ESSALUD has three contracts for the supply of oxygen for the Talara hospital with Air Products, Praxxair and Oxyma.

Regarding the donations, this time they were destined to the shipowners’ and artisanal fishermen’s guilds of the port of San Pablo and La Bocana of Colán. As a reminder, Savia Perú had previously made two deliveries of donations to the health centers and municipalities of Negritos, Lobitos, El Alto and Los Órganos, as well as to the Peruvian Air Force (Air Group Number 11).

Savia Peru is committed to supporting local authorities in their fight to prevent the massive spread of COVID-19 and urges the people of Talara to remain calm, to organize and inform themselves properly through official channels and to take the hygiene measures that are shared by MINSA, ESSALUD and DIRESA.

As for the company, since the day COVID-19 spread began, it has been implementing safety measures in the operation and higher sanitary measures for its personnel, in order to prevent contagion, which have been reported to the authorities.
